Americans and the Holocaust Exhibition

Five years in the making, the Museum is opening a groundbreaking exhibition, Americans and the Holocaust. This exhibition is a portrait of American society in the 1930s and '40s that shows what shaped Americans' responses to Nazism. We ask why, if Americans knew so much, rescuing Jews didn't become a priority, except for a few who went against the grain to help.
