Maryland Renaissance Festival

The Maryland festival, which attracts an average of 14,700 visitors each day, pays homage to the period with live performances on eight stages, a jousting arena, and dozens of intriguing street acts in an English village that spreads across 25 acres. The annual event is fun for all ages and an interesting way to learn about Henry VIII and his royal court. At the family-friendly event, held in Anne Arundel County about 30 miles from Washington, DC, you can see a fire-eater, watch jousting in full armor, marvel at jugglers and magicians, and listen to re-creations of Renaissance music. August 26-October 22nd, 2017.
